The world of Geometry Dash is getting bigger. The new Meltdown update adds three new levels, a new character, a few new items, and introduces the new game mode “Meltdown” which features more spikes and monsters than ever before.

Meltdown Mode will be available in the next update after the release of the following content:
- New Character – F-777!
- New Items – Rocket Launcher, Hover Boots, and Jetpack
There’s also some exciting changes coming to the existing levels:
- Level 1 – Geometry Dash
- Level 2 – The Forest
- Level 3 – The Deep
Meltdown Mode – This level features more spikes and other hazards than any previous level. You’ll have to work fast if you want to get all the gold medals and beat the time limit!
This level has been improved to include even more variety. There are more blocks, but they’re placed in different places now. Some of them are larger and require careful timing to avoid getting hit by one or two at a time. Some of them will move around when you land on them. These can be tricky because you don’t know where they will go until you land. And don’t forget about the falling rocks! They can fall faster than you think. It’s best to use the rocket launcher and hover boots to dodge these.
If you’ve made it past the first part of this level without dying, you should consider yourself very lucky. That was only possible because you were able to find some power up items along the way. Don’t leave anything behind though. You never know when you might need it again.
All in all, this level has become much more challenging. You’ll need to pay attention to every detail. If you make a mistake, there could be no going back. Make sure you save often in case you do die.
Normal Mode – As you would expect, this level has changed a little bit. There are more spikes, but they’re more spread out. You won’t have to worry about taking too many hits while trying to stay alive.
You do lose a couple of power ups, so you’ll have to be on your toes here. Make sure you pick up everything you can. You may not always have a second chance.
All in all, this level is still pretty easy. You can just run in and take your time. Take advantage of the extra time you have to look for power ups and collect coins.
The forest is a nice change of pace. You’ll have to watch out for trees and large branches, but it isn’t as dangerous as the previous level. There aren’t as many spikes either. So you should be able to keep your cool a lot easier.
The final part of the level gives you a brief respite from the action. Relax for a moment and enjoy the scenery. When you finish this section, you’ll unlock a new icon for your Meltdown icon set. You’ll also see another new color added to your Meltdown palette.
New Items – Rocket Launcher, Hover Boots, and Jetpack
There are a few new items that will be added to the game. The first two are pretty self explanatory. The third one is called the jetpack.
The jetpack is basically a flying machine. It allows you to fly longer distances. So you can reach higher areas and escape danger quicker. It also helps you cross gaps.
Overall, the Meltdown update brings a lot of new content into the game. There are a lot more challenges to face and fun to explore.
